Writing content for your business doesn’t have to be a chore. It’s not laundry.

Sitting down to write doesn’t have to be a whole event. It’s not a dissertation.

AI doesn’t have to have the last word. It’s not your boss.

Whether you're staring at a blank page or working with AI, I’ll help you find your flow, sound like yourself, and create copy you’re proud of. (Or I can just do it for you.)

How I show up

Writer

I take the time to understand you and/or your business, and where your content fits in with your goals and strategy - SEO and beyond.

I also offer ghost-writing (writing in your voice) and pair writing (collaborating with you on a project).

I can make your website, app or interactive service easier for your clients and prospects to use, by tweaking the writing and flow.

What I can write for you:

Articles, website/app content, sales pitch decks, emails, bios, LinkedIn posts, speeches, podcasts, videos, and more.

Editor

I make your existing copy shine.

This could be another pair of eyes (mine!) on your work, and some constructive comments.

Or maybe you’d like me to…

…make AI-generated content sound more human.

…optimise something for the SEO gods.

…spot and correct typos before you hit ‘Publish’.

…just make something sound * waves hands * better.

Consultant

Sometimes you need more than a second pair of eyes - you need a second brain, too.

As a consultant, I help with aspects of your content strategy.

Maybe you need help refining or updating your company's value proposition, to market and sell products and services.

Or you need a partner to ideate on and research topic ideas for your content calendar.

Or someone to audit your website or app for user-friendliness, whether it’s a straightforward business site or a more involved e-commerce, training or booking platform.

Thought Partner

You’ll find this useful if you’ve been working alone, struggling to progress, or want to bring your work to the next level.

As your partner, I create a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to work through the writing process and use your authentic voice.

I show up as a sounding board to help you think through, clarify and structure your work. I notice blocks and nudge you past them.

What we can work on together:

Speeches, stand-up comedy sets, bios, articles, personal stories, CVs, LinkedIn content, website content, and more.

Person sitting and smiling with books in front and sofa and plants behind.

I’m Heenu, a writer, editor and writing consultant.

I worked in corporate roles for 14 years, for companies like The Economist Group and Citi. I wrote about everything from agricultural insurance, to epilepsy and diabetes in young people, to gourmet cheese. I cast my editorial eye over men’s fashion newsletters, economic reports, children’s books, and more.

Along the way, I fed my creative streak by learning creative writing, stand-up and improv comedy. Today I’m active in storytelling and DIY crafting communities in London. I’ve also recently completed a Professional Diploma in User Experience (UX) Design. My current interest is studying how the most creative ad copywriters see the world and challenge common perspectives.

With Studio Heenu, I bring everything I’ve learned along my corporate and creative journeys, to support on meaningful and interesting client projects.

About me

How I work

Big-picture thinking

Your content is more than just a block of text or a box-ticking exercise. If it’s for your business, I’m interested in how it fits into your strategy (and if it doesn’t, why do you need it?). If your content is personal, I’ll help you find that spark by aligning it with your personality, comfort level and goals.

Collaborative

I enjoy collaborating, ideating, and offering constructive suggestions (kindly, of course!). This can look like asking questions, making suggestions, and pushing you to explore areas of your expertise that are hidden or undervalued (case in point: one of my wonderful clients calls me her ‘writing doula’).

Empathetic

I always consider how your audience will experience your words. Your content doesn’t just impart information - it evokes feelings too, so an empathy-led approach can take it to the next level.

How we can work together

A block of hours

This is a flexible hours package you can use on whatever you need - writing or editing work, or face-to-face consulting, coaching or co-writing. This works especially well when you need every type of content support, but can’t easily predict what you’ll need when.

A number of articles

You know you need articles, and you know when you want to send them out into the world. Just one problem: you don’t have time to write them, and AI isn’t going to cut it. With this package, you can rest assured that you’ll get well-researched, high-quality articles that speak in your voice to your customers.

A customised set-up

If your needs go beyond a package of hours or articles, let’s have a chat and see how I can help you meet your content goals.

Kind words from clients & readers

“Working with Heenu is easeful and energising. Heenu brings a calm focus and clarity to working with words.

We will get into a piece of writing and co-write it, or go through something I've already worked on together. Heenu will edit, make amendments to something I've written, and bring a new perspective or lens that I may not have seen. She is a great sounding board and writing partner, to help you untangle language and phrases with ease and care.

Her superpower is asking good questions, seeing things from new angles. Heenu is reliable, attentive, a great communicator, trustworthy and dependable. She’s kind, caring and curious human with so much potential!”

Gemma Drake, Facilitator, coach, systems thinker & design innovation lecturer

“Heenu’s writing is quirky, and has personality – which is what I love the most about her pieces. I enjoy the fact that I always learn something new. As a writer, she shares her vulnerability and sense of curiosity with her readers, taking us through her a journey of discovering something new, something fun. It’s what makes her writing so easy to relate to, so easy to be entertained by, and so easy to learn from.”

Nitika, writer & non-profit education program manager

“Love your style of turning mundane daily happenings into a creative light-hearted story that always makes me smile, and very often laugh out loud.”
