Content is the conversation your business has with your community.

And like any great chat, it can be satisfying and energising.

So why let AI have all the fun?

Whether you're staring at a blank page or working with AI, I’ll help you find your flow and communicate with vitality and heart.

How I show up

Interviewer

As an interviewer, I take the time to understand the person being interviewed and come up with effective questions designed to draw out deep, nuanced insights.

During the interview, I help the person feel at ease so it feels more conversational than interrogative, and take the opportunity to ask effective follow-up questions.

Here are some ways interviewing can be useful: getting detailed feedback from a client, verifying someone’s expertise before hosting them on your podcast, collecting information from experts for an article you’re writing, understanding users of a product or service.

Editor

I make your existing copy shine.

This could be another pair of eyes (mine!) on your work, and some constructive comments.

Or maybe you’d like me to…

…make AI-generated content sound more human.

…spot and correct typos before you hit ‘Publish’.

…just make something sound * waves hands * better.

Thinking partner

Sometimes you need more than a second pair of eyes - you need a second brain, too.

As a thinking partner, I work with you wherever you are along your writing process.

If it’s for your business, you may want help clarifying what makes it stand out, so you can clearly communicate it to the world.

Or you need a regular session for brainstorming, accountability or just talking through the challenge of the moment.

Or you need a UX audit of your website or app for user-friendliness.

Writing coach

As a writing coach, I create a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to work through the writing process and use your authentic voice.

I show up as a sounding board to help you think through, clarify and structure your work. I notice blocks and nudge you past them.

You’ll find this useful if you’ve been working alone, struggling to progress, or want to bring your work to the next level.

I’m Heenu. I’m an interviewer, editor and content partner.

Before starting Studio Heenu, I worked in corporate writing roles for 14 years, for companies including The Economist Group and Citi. I wrote about everything from agricultural insurance, to epilepsy and diabetes in young people, to gourmet cheese.

I’m also passionate about storytelling, creative writing and comedy writing.

With Studio Heenu, I bring everything I’ve learned along my corporate and creative journeys, to support clients doing meaningful, interesting work. Rather than writing for clients, I provide support and guidance along the writing process.

About me

How I work

Big-picture thinking

Your content is more than just a block of text or a box-ticking exercise. If it’s for your business, I’m interested in how it fits into your strategy (and if it doesn’t, why do you need it?). If your content is personal, I’ll help you find that spark by aligning it with your personality, comfort level and goals.

Collaborative

I enjoy collaborating, ideating, and offering constructive suggestions (kindly, of course!). This can look like asking questions, making suggestions, and pushing you to explore areas of your expertise that are hidden or undervalued (case in point: one of my wonderful clients calls me her ‘writing doula’).

Empathetic

I always consider how your audience will experience your words. Your content doesn’t just impart information - it evokes feelings too, so an empathy-led approach can take it to the next level.

How we can work together

A block of hours

This is a flexible hours package you can use on whatever you need from me - editing work, or face-to-face thought partner, coaching or interview sessions. This works especially well when you need several types of content support, but can’t easily predict what you’ll need when. I offer this as a one-off package or a monthly retainer.

A customised set-up

If you have more specific requirements - or aren’t sure what you need - let’s have a no-obligation chat about your project and goals, to figure out how I can best help you.

Kind words from clients & readers

“As an emerging photographer and changing careers, I was struggling to tell my story. Working with Heenu has been so many positive things but simply put - great. It was exactly what I needed to understand my story and gain the tools to tell it across my branding and social media. During our deep dives she was able to understand my offering and help that guide how I should 'show up'. Also retain my authentic voice.

Professional and intelligent. It was very easy to work with Heenu. I 100% recommend working with Heenu if you need help telling your story.”

Sharon De Torres, Photographer, Creative Director and Movement Director, Sharon De Torres Photography

“Heenu is a master at turning an unstructured stream of consciousness into a compelling, well structured story. She is able to adapt the to the context, the company, and the ICPs we are trying to reach. Heenu transformed my thoughts and inputs into a concise, engaging and well structured story that I can’t wait to add to the website and start sharing with customer (and future customers). I couldn’t recommend Heenu enough if you need someone who can brilliantly engage with customers, crafting compelling and impactful content.”

Emilie Bastrup, Co-Founder and Customer Expert, Growth Debunked

“I had a powerful session with Heenu where we explored the blocks I was experiencing in my business around writing. Thanks to Heenu’s insightful guidance and her suggestions on how to bring more life into my content, I experienced a real breakthrough. The session was incredibly valuable - I left feeling energised and excited to update my website and review my content with fresh eyes.”

Karinne Faddy, Founder and Director, Resonates Within

“Heenu helped me gain clarity in my future business, define how I should approach content media creation, as well the upcoming entrepreneur I wish to become. Really valuable insights came from our session together! Highly recommend Heenu for anyone looking to get clarity as a content creator.”

Maria José del Mar, aspiring child psychologist

“Heenu’s writing is quirky, and has personality – which is what I love the most about her pieces. I enjoy the fact that I always learn something new. As a writer, she shares her vulnerability and sense of curiosity with her readers, taking us through her a journey of discovering something new, something fun. It’s what makes her writing so easy to relate to, so easy to be entertained by, and so easy to learn from.”

Nitika, writer & non-profit education program manager

“Working with Heenu is easeful and energising. Heenu brings a calm focus and clarity to working with words.

We will get into a piece of writing and co-write it, or go through something I've already worked on together. Heenu will edit, make amendments to something I've written, and bring a new perspective or lens that I may not have seen. She is a great sounding board and writing partner, to help you untangle language and phrases with ease and care.

Her superpower is asking good questions, seeing things from new angles. Heenu is reliable, attentive, a great communicator, trustworthy and dependable. She’s kind, caring and curious human with so much potential!”

Gemma Drake, Facilitator, coach, systems thinker & design innovation lecturer

“Heenu is naturally curious, and a quick study, with a journalist's ability to become familiar with new subject matter and produce crisp and readable copy. While highly creative, she is also humble - an underrated quality in the business world.”
